From September 7 to 12, 2022, 1,086 Pakistanis were asked to complete a survey, which considered factors such as future outlook, the current state of the economy, job security, financial position, and unemployment.
The survey (conducted by Ipsos) results came when Pakistan’s economy is going through a crisis owing to persistent uncertainty due to recent floods and amid a decline in foreign exchange reserves. Moreover, the recent increase in commodity prices has also lifted inflation to historically high levels.
According to the results of the survey, an overwhelming majority, 77% of Pakistanis, foresaw the economy of their localities to worsen in the near future. Another 61% considered their financial status to be weak, while 93% had no hopes about investing their money in the near future.
