This particular Macro Bite is about how Macro Pakistani evolved as a platform since we formally started to disseminate bite-sized content through social media. Exactly two years back, Macro Pakistani's marketing team had the challenge to grow the audience and improve the visibility of the platform. From October 22, 2020, to October 22, 2022, the number of followers on Instagram went from 1,000 to 58,900. Our posts during the first few months could barely cross 40 to 50 likes, despite working for hours on each one of them. Fast forward to today, our average number of likes is around 400 to 500.
The marketing team's first task with a revised layout/design was a series of three animated posts covering the 'ABC' behind Macro Pakistani i.e All you need to know about the economy, Bite-sized digestible pieces, Curated to cut through the noise, and we had to fix the Insta grid so that this 'ABC' could be read in the right order when someone visits the account.
Starting from October 22, 2020, we worked every day (except for Sundays and public holidays) with just one cause in mind that keeps us up and running; to make economic data digestible for young educated Pakistanis, and in the right order, devoid of sensationalism!
Through this Macro Bite, we'd like to express our gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the platform (including our subscribers/followers/readers), especially our team of amazing contributors and the tech team for its incredible efforts with data gathering/compilation/automation for the graphics page on Macro Pakistani's website.
We couldn't have done it without all of you! 🙌 Thank you!
We are indebted to the founder of Macro Pakistani, Faiz Ahmed, not just as his team, but as Pakistanis as well, who have learned so much from him about the economy of Pakistan. Little did we know that after two years, his endeavor and efforts of breaking down economic data on Pakistan into bite-sized digestible pieces would take this platform to a place from where it is nearly impossible for us to give up on a meaningful mission initiated by him.
In order to continue Macro Pakistani's mission, we are actively looking for collaborations with startups and businesses. We'd love to explore opportunities of working together, you can also share your feedback and suggestions to help us make Macro Pakistani even better, please send an email to us at hello@macropakistani.com
